Follow The Star
Thank you for walking through another year with me. I’m grateful for another year of teaching, creating, and sharing with you.
This season reminds me that light often shows up before the path makes sense. Sometimes it’s a glimmer, sometimes it’s a star—but always, it’s enough to take the next step.
One of my favorite elements of the Christmas Story is the Star of Bethlehem. That very Star guided the wise men through the unknown, through long nights, and across unexpected terrain—toward something bigger than they could fully see at the start. I’ve always been intrigued by that kind of guidance. Honestly, I’ve lived much of my life by it—moving day by day, trusting God along the way, believing that what leads me is greater than what I currently know.
That kind of guidance can be hard to follow and trust —because you sense something greater ahead, but you don’t always know the details or the distance. Still, you move. Still, you trust the process. Still, you follow the light you do have, believing it will lead you where you’re meant to be.
For me, following the Star means choosing faith over fear, curiosity over hesitation, and purpose over perfection. It’s the quiet courage to keep moving forward, even when the path bends into unfamiliar places.
This year has been a season of transition—for me and for many of us—personally, creatively, and professionally. And even now, I’m reminded that being led is different from being certain. We don’t always need the full picture to take the next step… we just need a light worth following.
In this next chapter of the Studio and of my life, I’ve felt that shift deeply. It has stretched my faith in new ways. There have been moments of grieving what’s changing while also feeling excitement for what’s unfolding. I’m learning that following the Star sometimes means leaving what’s comfortable to step toward what’s better.
The destination may feel unknown—but the direction feels right. And sometimes the better thing is simply on the other side of the brave decision to keep moving.
That Star shines for all to see, so as we celebrate Christmas, may we all hold tight to the Star that leads us forward—toward peace, toward joy, and toward what matters most.
Sending so much love to each and every one of you.
Keep following the Star.
Keep trusting the guidance.
Keep moving with purpose.
